Black Oak Ridge Ranch is 320 acres of wild woodlands and meadows nestled in the hills and Black Oaks above Boonville, California in the Anderson Valley.  Reaching 1800ft at its peak and falling off to 800ft where Indian Creek runs through the property year round, the ranch’s undulating hills, plentiful water, exceptional soils and spectacular views, make it a rich playground for a remote country retreat and winery.

Founded in 2020, Black Oak Ridge Ranch is home to the nascent Black Oak Ridge winery and vineyard, two guest houses, event spaces, and mountain forests. The Vintner: Ludovic Lacourte


Proprietor & vintner, Ludovic Lacourte, hales from a French winemaking family in Chateau Chalon, a small village in the Jura region of France. For over 100 years, generations of his family have made the village’s eponymous Chateau Chalon—a world renowned, small production “Vin Jeune”, sought after by wine critics and enthusiasts of this unique varietal and wine making style.
